In the list below early and late and all through, indicate a shift time. The exact times depend on the role in question and are roughly:

  • Start: early from 9.30am, late from 1pm, final start 3pm. (Late shift helpers are welcome to join to help with setup).
  • Finish: setup from 10.00am, early from 11am, late from 1.30pm, final finish 4pm.
  • Enquiries: early from 9.15am, late from 1pm, close 5pm.
  • Parking: early from 8.45am, late from 12noon, last arrival by 2.30pm.
  • Model: early from 10.30am, late from 12.30am, finish about 2.30pm. The planners will set this up.
  • String: early from 11am, late from 1pm, finish about 4pm. Kevin, Maureen and I will put the string course controls and string out.
  • Download: early from 11am, late from 12.30pm, final finish 4pm. Download will be run by SI, we are providing some helpers for their computers.
  • Control Collection: we’ll start at 4pm.

In all cases, late shift helpers are welcome to join to help with setup and early shift helpers to be there to help take things down.

Some volunteers are available for more than one shift and not yet mentioned as all through. If you’re in this position, then I’ll be working out the best places to fit you in nearer to the time. For example, if may be that a couple of people on early shifts will need to hang around until the late shifts have finished their runs. If you’re on all through, please work with your Team Leader on the day to make sure you get a break for lunch.

I believe I’ve made the shifts match your run times. The main problems will be with the seeded runners on the WRE courses, where things don’t fit. Simply turn up to help where you can.

There will be some flexibility around these times and we’ll firm up the details in the week running up to the event. For those running, I’m keen that helping does not get in the way of a successful run.
