All event officials should check the British Orienteering Rules (updated January 2026) whilst preparing for an event.
Organisers
All organisers should also be aware of Safety Matters (See the section below).
Chris Phillips manages the sets of kites, stakes, SI-boxes, documents etc. Planners should arrange to collect a set from Chris a couple of weeks before the event. Note there are gaps in control numbers after control 60.

The LEI example can be used as a starting point for event organisers (in consultation with their planner and controller) to adapt to the specifics of their event and terrain.

Purple Pen
