Notes
Wakerley Great WoodThis is the first time for 5 years that we have be able to use Wakerley for a major event and the first time for around 15 years that courses have started at the south end of the forest.
Car Park and Buses: on an airfield near Deenethorpe (see link to map below). Competitors will be bussed to the start from the airfield (approximately 15 minutes ride and then 15 minutes walk).
Directions: Take the A43 Stamford/Corby road and turn off into Deenethorpe on the southernmost junction (to avoid congestion in the village) continue east on the same road about 1 Km and the airfield is down a small lane to the right.
Entries: via Fabian 4 Now Open and closing Sunday 20 Nov
Terrain: Wakerley Great Wood is a 640 acre forest which is mainly managed conifers with some younger native planting. The area contains many large depressions, relics of former shallow mining activity.
