Pay via The Start Kite: Seniors £5, Non-BOF Senior £6, Full-time students &; working-age unwaged £2.50, Junior (20 & under or Family group shadowing their juniors) £1.50. Senior on the Short Course £1.50.

Insurance: From 1st Jan 2026, if you’re not currently a member of British Orienteering, you won’t be covered by the organisation’s public liability insurance. You’re very welcome to take part, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk

Late entries and Entry on the Day: This is possible via The Start Kite depending on map availability. No cash entry on the day.

Melton Country Park: 140 acres of wildlife, lakes, footpaths trails and children's play areas, just a ten-minute walk from the town centre. So it's not just Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese!

Start and Finish: both close to the Car Park.

Terrain: Country Park with paths, woodland and lake.

Format: We have included a small (temporary) maze. To enable this, contactless will not be activated and there will be no check box.
The Maze has 7 controls, within each course. Runners will visit it 3 times in different orders. By removing the Check Box, runners must physically dib each control box (as in pre SIAC days) . A marshall will ensure runners do not reach over the tape but instead must navigate to stand in front on each control.

Control Collection: Volunteers willing to collect in a few controls each after the courses close would be much appreciated.

Safety: A risk assessment has been carried out by the Organiser and all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the safety of competitors. However, participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
Please note: Take care crossing busy roads.
Be aware of and be courteous to other park users, including dog walkers.

Summer League
The 2026 LEI Summer League consists of 18 events taking place from April to August. They include urban, parks and woodland events. See Summer League for the full list of fixtures and points system.
