Insurance: From 1st Jan 2026, if you’re not currently a member of British Orienteering, you won’t be covered by the organisation’s public liability insurance. You’re very welcome to take part, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk.

Entry: Entries are open on The Start Kite. Enter before end of Tuesday 6th January to guarantee a map. Pay the entry fee to Start Kite (account details will be displayed on screen when you confirm your entry).
Late entries and Entry on the Day: This is possible via Start Kite, but after will depend on map availability. No cash entry on the day.

New to Orienteering? If you are new to orienteering, please make yourself known to the organiser at registration and advice will be available.

Terrain: Complex woodland, paths and rock features.
Courses: All courses are available for all orienteers. However, if you wish to be competitive in the EM league, you are advised to enter the same colour course consistently.
The East Midlands League is a series of events in each calendar year. Individuals gain points towards their League position with their best results counting. More information on the EMOA Website.
Safety: A risk assessment has been carried out by the Organiser and all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the safety of competitors. However, participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
- The Organiser will hold a First Aid kit and a defibrillator.
- The woodland is popular with dog walkers and cyclists. Please respect all other users of the area
- Clothing: Competitors must wear clothing fully covering torso and legs. Shorts are not permitted. A whistle should be carried.
Insurance Cover: If you are not a member of British Orienteering, you are not insured under British Orienteering’s public liability policy.
