Notes

Terrain: Foxton Locks is a very unusual orienteering area. Mostly water features on a significant slope. Expect many route choice challenges. Mix of hard surfaces and mown grass.

Water Danger   There is a significant amount of water in the area!  Some of it is quite deep, all of it is muddy and cold, and, especially in the locks, it could be extremely dangerous.  It is your responsibility to run within your capability to stop – some of the terrain is slippery, whether wet or dry and it may be rough underfoot in places.

Public Area  This is not the British Sprint Championships and there are other people here enjoying the area or passing through on their boats.  Please be polite and allow other people through the narrow bridges; there are usually other bridges you can use if there is a long queue.

Out of Bounds  Please take care not to stray into any Out Of Bounds areas marked with purple hatching on the map.  There are some purple X s on the map.  These denote routes you must not take.
