Insurance: From 1st Jan 2026, if you’re not currently a member of British Orienteering, you won’t be covered by the organisation’s public liability insurance. You’re very welcome to take part, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk.
Personal Information: When entering events your personal details (name, age, gender, club) will appear in the results section on this website. It may also be used to contact you regarding this event including to trace missing runners and hired SI cards.

Entry: Entries will open about 3 weeks before the event on The Start Kite. Enter before end of Tuesday 12th August to guarantee a map. Pay the entry fee to Start Kite (account details will be displayed on screen when you confirm your entry).
Late entries and Entry on the Day: This is possible via Start Kite, but after will depend on map availability. No cash entry on the day.

New to Orienteering? If you are new to orienteering, please make yourself known to the organiser at registration and advice will be available.
Parking: Weavers Leisure Centre. Arrive via Weavers Lane

Parking for about 60-80 cars on site. Other parking will be on local streets or in the Town Centre, a mile away.
Download: in the academy building.
Terrain: Typical urban terrain. There will be some road crossings. Some will be timed out for safety.
Courses: All courses are available for all orienteers. However, if you wish to gain points towards the EMUL, you must enter the course for your age class.
The East Midlands Urban League is a series of 8 events in each calendar year. Individuals gain points towards their League position with their best 4 results counting. More information on the EM Urban League Website.
Safety: A risk assessment has been carried out by the Organiser and all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the safety of competitors. However, participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. See Event Safety
