Event Details

MapRun: The control sites have no visible controls. Instead the Start, Finish and all control sites are identified by a GPS signal on your phone. The signal can be received within a few metres of the feature marked on your map. Advice and assistance will be available for anyone new to MapRun.

App: All participants need a smart phone or watch with the MapRun or MapRunG App. Download App.

Register: via the form at the bottom of this page to ensure a map. Pay at the event.

Car Parking is Free. Open 24 hours but there is a height restriction of 2.1m.

Terrain Safety:Typical urban mainly residential but with some grassy areas. Please be aware pavements could be slippery and uneven. There are narrow alley ways so please give way to other people. Watch out for youngsters on scooters. In the grassy areas there are likely to be wet and muddy parts. All courses cross the Main Road through Shilton so please be careful when crossing roads, going round corners and give priority to pedestrians cyclists, those on scooters and dog walkers.

Start: Will be close to registration. Do not tap Go to Start until you are ready to go.

Courses Close: 8.00pm Sunset is 19-01pm. There is street lighting but you will need a torch.

Courses: Long and Medium are of similar, but not overly difficult, navigation.
Map: A4; Scale 1:7500.
