Event Details

MapRun: The control sites have no visible controls. Instead the Start, Finish and all control sites are identified by a GPS signal on your phone. The signal can be received within a few metres of the feature marked on your map. Advice and assistance will be available for anyone new to MapRun.

App: All participants need a smart phone or watch with the MapRun or MapRunG App. Download App.

Register: Please use the form below before mid-night Monday to book a map. Load the app in before the event. The map will be published on MapRun site, so you can download it beforehand. Folder: UK/Leicestershire/Barwell

Car Park: Roadside Parking on Kirkby Road, Barwell. Registration will be at the entrance to Kirkby Road Community Park. click google maps.

Terrain: Typical urban mainly residential with several grassy areas.
There is street lighting but you will need a torch.

Course Closes: 7:45pm

Courses: Potential optimum distances indicated. Long and Medium are of similar, but not overly difficult, navigation.

Safety: A risk assessment has been carried out by the Organiser and all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the safety of participants. However, you take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety during the event.
Please be aware pavements could be slippery and uneven.
There are narrow alley ways so please give way to other people. In the grassy areas there are likely to be wet and muddy parts.
Please be careful when crossing roads, going round corners and give priority to pedestrians and dog walkers.
Younger participants to be accompanied by an adult.
