This event was my first as a Level C organiser, so very many thanks are due to Bob (Controller) and Steve (Planner) for their help in me learning the process. Laurie, the LEI Permissions Secretary, also worked hard in securing the extra car park and sorting out permissions for using the site. Thanks are also due to LEI post-club-night-pub attendees for their comments on my Final Details and other paperwork.

The event would also not have been possible for the large number of volunteer helpers at start, finish, registration and download, but most of all to Ian and Derek for getting so many cars parked into the small site; we had 60 cars in the extra carpark! A special mention also made to Alastair, Roger, Trish and Imogen for taking part in supervising the crossing over the road.

The download and registration team were pleased to be working in the warm, and my apologies to any competitors confused by the download at the window not being sufficiently signed until later in the event. Kevin was his usual efficient self and had the results on the website within minutes of the final competitor downloading.

Final mention to the control collectors who had to complete their task of collecting and sorting as the weather turned sour with the knowledge that everyone else had already retired to the pub.
