Planners comments
It was pleasing to see 36 people out on new years morning and they were rewarded with
clear blue skies a picture postcard views of snowscapes.
It was a little cold in the shade but most people seemed to enjoy a good thrash and a
chance to clear the cobwebs of the previous night.
Courses ran a little long in the snow conditions and white paper plates against the
unexpected snow background definitely enhanced the technicality of this rapidly maturing
area.
One young man enjoyed the area so much that he decided to see what the areas off the map
had to offer and certainly got his monies worth being out considerably longer than anyone
else. It certainly encouraged his father to have a second run out and those 20 odd members
who repaired to the pub for apres run refreshments do not know how near they came to being
asked to put their togs back on and come play hide and seek.
The planner had an excellent afternoon in the sunshine putting out the controls last year
and trusts that tomorrow will bring similar conditions when he goes to retrieve them.
