Nearly 500 children competed in the NW Leicestershire Primary Championship on Wednesday morning. Lots of muddy clothing was seen as conditions worsened during the morning.

There was a tie break for first place with Newtown Burgoland beating St Charles as they gained the same score of 715 in a faster time. Worthington were third for the second year in row.

The first three individuals all came from these three schools with the Newtown Burgoland pair of Patrick and Isaac winning by 25 points from Leo and Daniel from Worthington.
