Welcome to this summer's Streetview-O, a 'run' around our new sprint map of Markfield.
This second Streetview-O is a score event, which, if you were really orienteering in Markfield, means that you can visit the controls in any order. Also in real score orienteering the usual aim is to collect the most points in a set time, often an hour. Harder controls, or those further from the start may carry more points. For this Streetview-O you need to visit all the controls and they are all worth the same.
Twenty controls are located on the map by lettered areas A-V. You must match each clue to a control. Please don't assume that the first solution you find is the correct one, there are some clues that could be solved in more than one circle, but choosing the wrong one would leave another clue without a home. You will need to eliminate easy or obvious clues first and be prepared to revisit your answers find the correct solutions!
If you want a real orienteering challenge you can try to work out the optimum route from the start triangle, round all the controls to the finish (the double circle) taking into account the distance and climb. However there are no points for this.
There will also be an easier version of this competition released one week later at 5pm on Sunday 20th June. This will be similar to the first Streetview-O and will not be timed.
