CompassSport Cup First Round

Worcester Beacon - 24 January 2010

On the approach Worcester Beacon's impressive twin hills dominated the skyline and they offered a testing, often strenuous, challenge to the two dozen LEI members taking part in the first round of the Compass Sport Cup. It was a welcome relief to leave the cold and exposed start area and to start running, and the welcome winter sunshine gave clear panoramas from our lofty view point. Whilst the controls were generally straight forward, the plethora of paths gave an array of route choice, and the closeness of neighbouring control sites tested willpower to resist the temptation to get distracted. Despite many strong individual performances and superb team spirit, sadly our Club challenge has not taken us through to the Final. Results now available at http://www.harlequins.org.uk.
