Urban League

Best 3 events in the Summer League count towards the Urban League.

What's on Offer?

Urban Orienteering means navigating on roads, paths, parks and complex 'jumbles' of buildings. Less navigational experience is needed than for more traditional woodland events, but speed in seeing the route and making decisions is key to success, it is not just about being the fastest runner. Long, medium and short courses are available. A long course is about 6k, a sprint about 3k, but the result may depend on the overall time for two races (and expect to run 50% further on the ground!). The short course will be suitable for juniors avoiding busy or dangerous roads.

See the Fixtures list (http://www.leioc.org.uk/fixtures/summer_league.php) for more details.
