The courses
Test loop in gym 30m – for trying out the touch free punching experience.
There will be printouts for this course where you can compare speeds against traditional punching, but the test course will not have published results
Short (Yellow) suitable for novices- 1.1km 14 controls
Long (has some tricky route choices and crosses car parking and minor roads) 2.7km 15 controls

You may run a second course non competitively after the first for free. You may want to run a course a second time with a traditional dibber for a comparison?

Discount scheme
Competitors will receive a £6 discount card to offset against the cost of purchasing a SIAC (touch-free) dibber within three weeks of the event. These dibbers can be used as a normal dibber at non-touch-free events where they behave like a type 11 with an additional beep from the dibber after punching.

Suitable for Beginners?: Beginners are welcome. Please arrive early and preferably let the organiser know in advance so that you can be sure to get advice from an experienced orienteer.
