Wednesday 12 December 2018 Winter League 4 Swithland Night Event

Event Level: Local
Notes: Woodland Night Event: Whistle mandatory. Head torch needed. Spare torch Advisable.

Terrain: Mixed woodland with variable density and maturity; many holly bushes; major and minor path network; some contour detail. Note that autumn leaf fall has obscured some minor paths. Some very slippery surfaces and slopes, so wear Shoes with a good grip.

Start and Finish: near the main car park.

Juniors: It is advisable for inexperienced juniors to be shadowed by an adult.

Courses close: at 8.15pm so please start early if you think you may take a long time.

Volunteers: to collect the controls after the race will be very much appreciated.

The 2018/2019 LEI Winter League consists of 8 events taking place from October to February. They include night and daytime events, urban and woodland events, and midweek events during half term. Suitable for Beginners?: Not suitable for beginners
Large Groups?: If you intend to come to our event as part of a large group, eg Youth group, Scouts, Cubs, Athletic or running club, it would be helpful to let the Organiser know in advance. This ensures we can have enough maps available for you and avoid disappointment.
