Summer League: midweek evening event

Terrain: Mainly mature woodland

Short 2.2 km Yellow standard
Medium 3.4 km Light Green/Short Green Standard
Long 5 km Green/Blue Standard
All courses will use new areas, but they will not cross any roads. They are planned to avoid the areas with the worst brambles.

Start: Distance to start 250m
Finish: very near car park

Safety: Beware of large tractors that may be using the drive where the parking is located and turning on and off the Markfield/Ratby Lane

Summer League 2018
The 2018 LEI Summer League consists of 19 events taking place from April to August. They include long, score, sprint and urban events. Your top 10 scores count on the league table. See Summer League page for the full list of fixtures and the current league table.

Control Collection: Volunteers willing to collect in a few controls each after the courses close would be much appreciated.

Suitable for Beginners?: Beginners are welcome. Please arrive early and preferably let the organiser know in advance so that you can be sure to get advice from an experienced orienteer.
Large Groups?: If you intend to come to our event as part of a large group, eg Youth group, Scouts, Cubs, Athletic or running club, it would be helpful to let the Organiser know in advance. This ensures we can have enough maps available for you and avoid disappointment.
