Event Area

High SharpleyCademan and Thringstone Woods and High Sharpley are part of the National Forest.

Cademan Woods has a range of boulder and crag features up to 15m high along a ridge with an extensive path network.

Thringstone Woods has some stony features, a Rhododendron complex and an area of small depressions.

High Sharpley is pathless and has a scattering of boulder features.

Assembly and Car Parking

Castle Rock High School, Whitwick with bussing to the event area.

The main entrance to the car park is only suitable for cars. If anyone is bringing a coach, minibus or camper van please contact the organiser at

All courses will use SPORTident. Hire charge is £1.00 per person

The map was fully revised in Spring 2008
Map scale 1:10,000 for all courses
Maps will be printed on waterproof paper.

There will be maximum of 250 places per course.

There will also be available white, yellow and orange colour coded courses

Control Descriptions

These will be pictorial for all Championship Courses. They will not be available pre event. Competitors will be able to collect control descriptions in the start lanes at minus 4 minutes. Control Descriptions will also be printed on the maps.

*Cancellation and Change of Entries*

Competitors may cancel, amend or transfer entries made via Fabian4 or by post by contacting the Organiser up to Wednesday 6th May. Refunds will be paid on such cancellations, subject to an administrative charge of £2. Transfers and amendments are subject to starts slots and maps being available.


Should the event, or part of the event, be cancelled the organisers reserve the right to retain all or part of the entry fee to cover committed costs.
